Private Yoga Sessions are specifically tailored to meet your individual needs. The idea of a yoga “class” is relatively new. Traditionally, yoga was taught one on one. This setting allows for your individuality to be addressed in the spirit of the one on one teacher-student tradition and quickly reach your goals.
There are many reasons why one may choose private instruction. Generally, the 4 most common goals of private sessions are:
• To understand the basics of yoga - This type of session will equip you with the necessary tools to begin a consistent practice and inspire confidence to move forward into Our Small group settings. Most importantly, it will teach you to move safely within your body. The topics of pranayama (breath), asanas (postures), and meditation will be integrated.
• To develop a home practice - It is important to supplement group yoga classes or private sessions with a practice you can do anytime on your own at home or while traveling. In this session you will be guided through effective sequences based on your goals. You will leave with homework to practice till your next session.
• To address special needs - Some students have needs that cannot be met in a large group setting and need a more therapeutic focus. Some students have social anxiety and need a small intimate setting. Some of these needs may be based on body type, limited movement due to injury, stress management or a variety of other circumstances. Special needs students can work through several sessions to develop a plan or can work with Kitty indefinitely.
• To deepen your practice - This is a way to make large strides in and refine your practice. A session will include feedback on technique and modifications to meet the specific student’s goals.

private Student Testimonals
“ I started to go to Ageless Yoga because I’ve recently started doing fitness classes where we do lots of weighted squats and leg work. My muscles just felt really “tight” and I was looking for a type of yoga where there was sustained, deep stretching involved. I’m 42 and so I have some aches and pains, but when I leave Kitty’s class I feel like I’ve just had a massage! I love the personalized attention I get and that she really focuses on proper alignment. I’ve been to other types of yoga classes, but just went through the motions by watching what the other students in class were doing and wandering if I was doing the pose right because the teacher just stayed at the front of the classroom. That may work for more seasoned veterans of yoga, and going through the poses quickly may be what some people want... but I want to HEAL my aches and pains, not acquire new ones due to improper form. Kitty also works with props and I absolutely love that because otherwise I probably wouldn’t be able to do some poses and get the benefits from those particular poses! I would highly recommend Ageless Yoga to anyone!”
I am new to Yoga and most definitely found the right place. Kitty is so very patient and great at explaining everything. Warm and comfortable environment with everything you need to be successful. Highly recommend!
hI found Ageless Yoga through a Groupon several years ago when I was going through a difficult time in my life. Having practiced yoga off and on for about twenty years, I was very impressed with Kitty's style of teaching. She is very nurturing with her methods, but she will also encourage you to push yourself to the edge of your limits. I've grown in my yoga practice with her as well as personally while I make my way through life as a wife and mother.
I am a 68 year old retired lady who realized how sedentary and stiff she had become and wanted to do something about it to become stronger, more flexible and have better balance. I heard about Ageless Yoga and Kitty from a friend. I booked a one-on-one beginner's session with Kitty where we got to know a little about each other. She asked what I wanted to get out of the sessions-what were my goals. She led me through a few of the basics to assess my strengths and weaknesses. Her approach is professional, and she is incredibly knowledgeable. She explained not only how to move but why/what the movements will accomplish. I very much appreciate that the instruction is age appropriate. Also, she’s personable and fun!
Kitty has developed a plan for me to reach my goals at my own pace. I am happy I have found her and look forward to becoming flexible and stronger through yoga.
I Had A Private Yoga Lesson With Kitty On Thursday 4/4/19. It Was A Wonderful Experience. Kitty Is Very Good About Finding Out What Your Issues Might Be And How She Can Best Help You. The Yoga Poses That She Had Me Do Were Not Too Difficult And Did Not Produce Pain In My Joints. I Enjoyed The Session So Much And Have Two More Private Sessions Scheduled.
I was convinced that I was too out of shape, too inflexible, and had too many physical limitations (mostly arthritis and vertigo) to go anywhere near a yoga mat. My adult daughter found Kitty and insisted I go to just one session before writing off yoga. After speaking at length with Kitty, I scheduled a private session. It was so much more than I imagined. The session was perfectly tailored to my needs and limitations. Kitty is so patient and kind that I never felt like the uninitiated beginner that I am. I've already scheduled my next few sessions. As the saying goes, "Never say never."
